I am steadily getting better. I am going through symptoms of infection clearing in the jaw, cheeks, face. I have white pustules on the chin, soreness in the gums, redness around certain teeth. My jaw is ground zero for me along with the left knee. I am slowly but surely healing. You can see in the nature of the psoriasis, it’s splotchy, pinkened in most places (besides the lower legs, ground zero, you also see bruising in these areas.)

In general, the amount of scaling and flaking is way down. The skin is dying much slower, inflammation is going down. These are all great signs that I’m steadily on the right Path! Here are some pictures to scroll through!

Hello PHWarrior! How are you? Are you working on your Natural Healing Practice (NHP) a little more each day? Building skills, resolve, conviction, and discipline, slowly but surely?

This is a journey. Getting Psoriasis out of our lives is a large leap into the Unknown. It has certainly been the most formidable challenge in my life, and I am better for it! I am walking this path hand-in-hand with you and thousands of other Warriors who are taking ACTION!

The skills and practice I have at my foundation now, all came from a choice I made to stick with this for better or worse. I remember thinking before my journey, “If I could just get my life back.” which has now transformed into:

“I have built a new life!“

I want to keep things simple, yet powerful for you. I know we are pressed for time, especially in the morning, so I compiled these six steps from my NHP to help you build your own and get the best outcome for the efforts you put in.

Your morning is the most important part of the day for your Natural Healing Practice (NHP). You build momentum and set your body up for optimal progress and results.

The body does a lot of hard work while you sleep, and there is a lot of waste to remove upon getting up. These steps will help the body eliminate that waste completely and prepare to continue the healing process while you carry out your day.

I strive to complete all 6 steps each morning. Some days I don’t get them all in. If I juice 5 out of 7 days each week, that is a victory in my book! We are not trying to be perfect, we are simply doing our best.

Here is a rundown of my morning routine. These 6 steps take about 60 minutes and accomplish 60% of my natural healing goal each day!

My 6-step morning magic formula that will heal Psoriasis fast & for Good:

1.) When I get up in the morning, I prepare one liter (quart) of pure water with one whole lemon or lime squeezed in. I then add a dropper of liquid zinc sulfate. I drink this down in about 10-15 minutes while I start washing and prepping the celery for step 2. You can start with a smaller amount of water and lemon and work your way up.

Lemon water is a cleansing flush for the Liver and Kidneys. The water pressure along with the vitamin C and trace minerals the lemon provides, flush out the liver and activate the kidneys for filtration.

“Water keeps the vehicle moving.”

 2.) I rinse, juice and drink a full batch of celery. I wait about 15-20 minutes after I finish my lemon water. This is the time it takes me to make my juice. Celery juice is a tonic that heals and repairs the stomach. It needs to be juiced fresh and drunk on an empty stomach. You can add one apple or a handful of grapes to change the flavor if you need to, until your palette adjusts.

However you can bring celery juice into your life, BRING IT! If you simply cannot stand celery juice, then go with cucumber juice. If not cucumbers, juice greens of some kind! I have juiced since October 2012. I have juiced just celery since February 2016. So over a decade of juicing and my vitality, strength, energy and skin have improved beyond measure. I will be youthful for my entire life!

I clean the juicer as I’m drinking the juice and by the time I’m done drinking, the juicer is clean.

3.) I do 15 minutes of Yoga, Meditation and/or Qigong exercises. I focus on technique, deep breathing and affirmations. I will share the Yoga poses and stretches I do soon, stay tuned! For now follow the Qigong exercises in the video above!

This gives the body exercise, oxygen and pumps the lymphatic system to eliminate waste. During this time the stomach is also working on repairing itself using the celery juice tonic.

4.) I fill up my stainless steel water container and add liquid herbs such as cat’s claw, nettle leaf or lemon balm along with liquid zinc sulfate to sip on all day.

5.) LUBRICATE BEFORE LEAVING THE HOUSE. Don’t get caught dry, scaly and bleeding. Stay in front of the plaques and scales with castor oil psoriasis treatments, lotion and mist. I dabble on castor oil where needed, then I apply organic lotion. I use an amazing Organic Aloe Baby Lotion from Puracy. I do suggest an organic aloe in any lotion you choose.

Do not use Vaseline or petroleum jelly based moisturizers like Sorion Cream.

6.) I make tea. I add raw honey or stevia, cinnamon, reishi and chaga mushroom powders. I’m really loving the Teecino teabags that have chicory root. I like to include herbal teas such as nettle leaf, lemon balm, rose hips, hibiscus, burdock root and dandelion root. This completes my 6-Step Daily Psoriasis Healing Routine!

“WHAT THE HECK DO YOU EAT ALL DAY MATT?!?“ Haha, I know right? I don’t start eating solid foods until about 11am – 12pm. I then start grazing on whole fruits. I eat an organic red apple, then a banana as part of my breakfast.

I keep a good amount of prebiotic foods in the daily diet.  I’ll make the heavy metal detox smoothie most days for lunch. I start bringing in fats and proteins after workday and workouts in the evening time. I have a nighttime eating window of anywhere from 4pm – 9pm. Then it’s no solid foods until 11am – 12pm the next day.

Castor Oil Application and Bath Treatment

This is my approach to a healing bath. You can do a bath in morning or at night, after you do the castor oil psoriasis treatment application. Use castor oil as your primary topical ointment. I apply a good amount to my lower legs, wrap in plastic wrap, overnight, or about 4-6 hrs.

I then get into a warm bath of borax powder, coconut oil, essential oil drops and Mrs. Meyers nontoxic liquid soap. Gently remove the softened dead skin from the plaques. I then take a warmish-cool shower. I use RenPure coconut water shampoo and Seaweed Bath Co.’s seaweed body wash.

Stay well lubricated and cool before you fly out the door. This can be done after the shower as well. f

The psoriasis that threatened my life, is now leaving slowly and surely with hard work. I have healthy, olive, soft skin shining through all over! VICTORY!

I am about 100% clear now. I am dealing with the underlying infection that caused my Psoriasis for about one year now.

I still have inflammation in the knee joints (where I had my ACL surgery originally) and my elbow joints. The joint battle appears to be the longest aspect of this Psoriasis healing war. It happens in cycles, about 3 days out of every week have been inflammation, itching, rash and chunks of gunk coming out.

(Queue the music.)

None of this is the typical set of symptoms of Psoriasis I dealt with for almost a decade.

As I get to a whole new plateau of healing I wanted to take a moment to reflect and lay out the key aspects that made me consistently successful.

I want you to write the following equation down and tape it to your wall, windshield, desk at the office, wherever you need motivation:

Choice + Challenge + Cherish = Change.

Change is what we are striving for. We need to change the environment of our body so that it may heal.

Change is a process, a journey, it does not happen overnight. There is so much power that comes from it, the sheer energy alone forces change to start.

The Warrior’s Work:

1. Choice
2. Challenge
3. Cherish

1. Choice – Your power and conviction

Choice is the hardest part. This is when you must reach into your soul and spirit, NOT your mind. This is where your Power Generator is, where all energy moves and circulates. “I CHOOSE TO HEAL MYSELF”. Say that out loud, and say it again, until you become “hooked on a feeling, and get high on believing.”

I believe the choice is most important. It is the foundation for all practical transition.

Your persistence and determination will continuously be fueled by coming back to your concrete foundation. That mortar of that foundation is the modification of the choices your making.

You must seek depth in your feelings and emotions, then work on seeking balance. The mind will be influenced by this and adjust over time as it lets go of what it THINKS it needs and better deciphers FUEL vs. DESIRE

2. Challenge – Get lost in the process

Challenge is the routine practice. This is where you work the mind into a routine. You can jot down notes, a daily outline, focus in on your habits, learn about yourself, your tendencies, your passions, your circumstances, and work through them, ONE by ONE.

The challenge is changing your mind about your vitality. You will notice that your diet will follow suit as you gain higher consciousness and awareness. This then leads to inherit responsibility and accountability to your body. Challenge yourself.

3. Cherish – Give yourself a pat on the back

Cherish is the most important part. This is where joy and happiness are obtained in the practice. You must get lost in the process, and seek out motivations and inspirations from simplicity. We are so complex, the world, our work, our lives have many variables we have accumulated from conditioning. I want you to go back to the simple innocent constants of life. Breathing, stretching, moving, drinking water, the essential biological needs of the body. This is where the body’s signals can gain influence and eventually take over entirely.

Simple -> Practical -> Routine -> Guiltless -> Constructive -> PROGRESS.

So on this day where we celebrate our Life’s Work in America, I want Warriors WorldWide to celebrate in their Life’s Work. The most important work. The work that strengthens your soul and spirit and helps you fight. That is your job, and you are HIRED!

where horizon meets the sky…

Every time I visit the ocean for my salt scrub and natural phototheraphy (aka the Sun), it inspires me to write. The salt soothes and exfoliates the skin, the water brings me a certain silence that I quite enjoy.

One that allows me to focus on my body and the work I am putting in, now that I have been consistently fueling it for over a year now. Practicing qi-Gong and Yoga have been a huge part of my healing journey.

I am putting together a workout plan for Psoriasis healing that will cover the poses and stretches I do everyday in great detail. There is so much power in our breath and energy is circular, it must constantly flow.

Well, the path continues with great steady progress. The practice gets tighter with more becoming second nature. My lifestyle has almost completed a paramount paradigm shift.

As my body continues to fight the good fight. I am noticing a fastening shift in the pace of my healing. I can tell that the Psoriasis symptoms, toxins and all pathogens are being flushed from my skin cells and tissues back into my bloodstream.

As this process progressively picks up the pace, there are 4 specific signs to look for that prove Psoriasis symptoms are healing completely. I want to go over these aspects with you so your confidence and conviction will continue to strengthen as your skin goes through every level of purgatory to cleanse and find balance…

1. Rashes progressively forming around spots

This is the most noticeable phenomenon of the healing process. At first, I was worried I had drawn another infection.

That wasn’t the case though, as the symptoms didn’t worsen and they seemed to be isolated around the more recent Guttate Psoriasis spots on my arms and legs. The rash has slowly spread around other spots.

This is why I’m excited about the rash, lol…the spots that it is spreading around are flattening and fading. So What I have concluded from this is that the rash is a sign of the toxins being purged from my skin cells and tissues and dissipating back into the blood stream for filtration and removal!

My body has figured out the full signature of these toxins and is systematically flushing them out, slowly but surely.

2. My large plaques are flattening and dispersing

Another pleasant aspect I’m noticing is the raised, irritated plaques of skin are smoothing out as I get rid of Psoriasis. As the excessive chunks of skin that form the plaques are mostly gone and much less red, I have noticed a large reduction in my overall inflammatory responses and itching episodes.

Whereas before, the spots would typically form and stay in perfect circles with raised edges, they now are breaking apart and spreading out. I haven’t had any new spots appear in over a month. I see this the most on my right leg, where a large perfectly circular plaque existed for over five years, is now a battle ground of irregularly shaped plaques and small zits.

As the toxins continue to move out of the skin and the body remains alkaline, the acidic condition that causes reactions and itching sensations is much less potent. I have slowly changed the arena in this game, and more victories come each day!

3. Puffiness and swelling on my ears, eyes and nose

As my body squeezes toxin out of every orifice, I believe this is a common reaction to have. I have soreness around my nostrils, chapped lips and some swelling in my ear lobes.

I had Psoriasis all over my scalp and face, so I expect that as this massive amount of detoxification goes on waste will be exiting at these spots. There will be continuous reactions to this healing process, I feel them being less and less significant.

I certainly feel a bit off, soreness and fatigue here and there, that’s part of the P healing growing pains. It is so important to get a good amount of sleep through this time. I focus on 7-8 hours a night. Getting some water in as soon as I get up and before bed. The primary goal I have for everyday is 3-4 liters of water. My next post will be about “how to alkalize your water to empower your cells”

The key is to stick to the practice, stick to the Psoriasis remedies that need to be added everyday. Make a sound effort towards removing a few certain foods and introducing others that can really help the body fuel up for this fight!

Stay practical, don’t go to extremes, a methodical approach is the way of the Warrior! I am on my way.

There have been a lot of ups and downs so far. I am seeing amazing progress, especially the past four weeks. The Psoriasis is healing the most on my scalp and shoulders. My chest, abdomen, thighs and more of my oldest spots are free of excess chunks of skin and less red.

I can see freckles and veins on my shoulders I haven’t seen in over two years! This is so exciting, and I feel strongly that what I’m doing can work for anyone.

The itching is coming to an end.

One thing I have noticed throughout this past year was an increase in small Guttate-type spots forming up and down both forearms and my lower right leg. It seems  that they collect like satellites around my large, old plaques.

There are a bunch of them, and at first it was a bit nerve wracking as they vastly multiplied. I went back and re-read some chapters from The pH Miracle on the aspects of die-off symptoms getting more aggressive and sporadic before and as they get better.

These “satellite psoriasis spots” don’t behave like the old spots did as they came about. These are more like acne, I’ve noticed bumps, lumps and some white-heads. Some come and go quickly. Most are now fading.

The main two aspects I’ve noticed is that they run along my largest veins down my arms and they are now surrounded by slight rashes.  I think these are toxin exhaust points for my body as it filters out microforms.

It makes sense that, as my body clears out microforms from concentrated areas around my core and vital organs, it needs to isolate and exhaust them at the extremities.

At the end of the day, my body is going through a constant waste removal process, working overtime. There is a lot of work to do and I continue to fuel up!

I think the most important natural remedy for Psoriasis right now, is the Cell Power drops. On my six-week travel in July, they were the only thing I was adding everyday, and my diet certainly wasn’t great.

Trust me, as you modify your diet and lifestyle to heal Psoriasis naturally, you will be trying many things, finding what works for you, and constantly studying results with a magnifying glass. So every new spot that pops up has potential to be devastating.

These little spots are going to come, and they will go away as well, so when you see ’em, don’t sweat ’em! These are signs that your immune system is identifying the invaders and they are being eliminated.

Stay focused on all the positive reinforcement you are providing your body to heal itself and the decrease in your oldest plaques.

So the three main signs of microform die-off and progress are:

• groups of small spots classified as “Guttate Psoriasis” in the arms and legs
• rashes that resemble poison ivy symptoms
• an increase in nail psoriasis

I’m going to keep up the good fight, I have seen plenty of tangible improvement. I am convinced. I believe I am see signs of healing Psoriasis naturally!

Since I started my alkaline approach to healing my Psoriasis, I made a vow to stop using these to make sure results I would experience weren’t tainted.

You can imagine what happened next. I always knew that using these topicals caused worse outbreaks when I would ever stop using them. This time around was no different. P rashed out over the forehead, eyes, nose, ears and scalp again. I would say it’s on at least 50% of my face.

With my new lifestyle shift in the way I eat and approach each day, I definitely notice constant improvement of my face and scalp.

In fact, at this point, I would say my scalp Psoriasis (which after first using the suggested DermaSmoothe treatment in 2006 was 100% covered) is about 80% healed! I have barely any caked skin or even dandruff on my scalp! This is where Psoriasis started for me in 2004, so it’s a special feeling to have progress here.

My face is slowly clearing along with the rest of my body. I can feel that this is mainly a filtration process. A liquid purification of my blood, which takes a lot of time. I do notice an awesome spectrum of healing setting in.

Every day I run a comb through my hair now, it’s not a minefield of skin, rather smooth and healthy and that is real Progress.

So, as you transition your diet and add more and more effective natural remedies for Psoriasis, understand that your face will be an exhaust point during healing.

The areas around the eyes, nostrils, ears are all normal exit orifices for toxins. The release of a huge excess of toxins is what the body is going through. Swelling, puffiness and discomfort here are just signs that your healing Psoriasis naturally!

I stick with basic lotion, along with Cuticura ointment occasionally, nothing crazy. I don’t like rubbing a lot of creams into my face. I use Aveeno soap and shaving cream, which is soft on the skin. I also get some sunlight on my face everyday, controlled exposure to Real sunlight is soothing and therapeutic for the face skin cells as they absorb the vitamin D and exfoliate in overdrive.

This is part of the growing pains of healing Psoriasis, so keep up the good fight! Remember, how long have you had Psoriasis? It takes a while of conviction to reverse it.

Liquid Chlorophyll

My mom has been dropping this into a glass of water every night of her life religiously since the early 80s, she calls it her “green drink”. As a kid, I never understood, but I drank it. As I moved out of the house into college, stopped drinking this and my better diet she kept up, my skin issues started almost instantly with acne, to eczema, and ultimately Psoriasis. This Liquid Chlorophyll with the drops below is a potent medicine to help your body function properly again and eliminate acids. I shake it well and add 4-5 teaspoons into ONE liter of room temperature, filtered water. If you don’t mind it, add a bit more. I’ll have 2-3 liters of this “green drink” everyday. This is a vital piece of your Water Power Pack to start reversing the acidic condition and rooting out harmful microforms.

Ion & pH Booster Drops

What do you know? Water is at the basis of all my other natural remedies for Psoriasis. These drops are the easiest and cheapest way to introduce vital ionic minerals and oxygenation to your water which starts to change the internal environment. It is a 2-bottle pack: pH drops and Ion drops, shake both well before adding. I recommend drinking your water at room temperature. Start with 6 each, then in 2 weeks, double to 12 after you see how you feel, then about 3-4 weeks in, double to 24 drops each to ONE liter of water. I also suggest adding a lemon/lime to each liter as well. The result is electronically-charged water that invigorate cells to work efficiently and purify the blood. As I said earlier, this mixed with Liquid Chlorophyll I think is the most important combo.

GenEssentials GREENS

I have started adding a heaping teaspoon to 8 oz. of water every morning In middle of September. This has been a great source of kale and other hard to find greens, ocean vegetables that the body can really thrive on. The taste is fine, it’s really easy to swallow. Stir it up, add 3 drops and drink it down to start the day with an excellent green flush!

Slippery Elm Powder

This is Dr. Pagano’s secret weapon (author of Healing Psoriasis: The Natural Alternative). It is probably the least tasty of the concoctions you must drink but it is the basis of rebuilding your permeable gut wall, which is what causes Leaky Gut Syndrome. This is the doorway to pathogens and toxins seeping into the blood, slowly poisoning it. These walls must be built back up, and slippery elm bark is the concrete for the job. Add a heaping teaspoon to room temperature water in the morning when you wake up. Let it steep for just about 20 minutes. Then stir it up good and start sucking it down to start your Psoriasis healing journey!

American Saffron Tea

This is the other vital tea from Pagano’s book that I swear by. I’ll make this in the afternoon, as it helps me transition off coffee in the morning. Steep this for about ten minutes and sip. It’s a tasty, tangy flavor. You can add a lemon or some stevia to taste. I also will steep a tablespoon and add it to my liter water bottle. The main property is purifying the kidneys and liver. This is an afternoon delight home remedy for psoriasis

pH Miracle

This is the book at the basis of my diet regimen. The chapters on microforms, transition and the true effectiveness of alkaline blood. The human body has the power to fight off any disease or disorder. This book by the Youngs is a fantastic educational guide to raising your pH and revitalizing every cell in your body! They give you a strong list of natural remedies that work for Psoriasis and a multitude of other dis-eases and dis-orders

Healing Psoriasis

When I first started turning towards alternative homeopathic ways to heal my Psoriasis in 2007, a friend of my brother gave me this book. At the time I wasn’t ready yet to accept the principles and responsibility to take action. The last two years, I have been absorbing more literature on homeopathic remedies for Psoriasis, and I come back to this book mainly for the instruction on cleansing the digestive tract, aka the Gut.

Body Ecology Diet

The extensive information on the bacteria life in the human body is quite mesmerizing. I don’t follow the dietary suggestions of spoiling vegetables strategically. I do believe firmly that antibiotics make the situation worse, along with most other medications after reading it. This book offers great practices with balancing probiotics as a natural Psoriasis remedy.

Hamilton Beach Juicer

Everything the body needs to start and drive the healing process can be found in green vegetables. I fully believe that green veggie juice heals Psoriasis like medicine. When you juice these veggies down the body gets the vitamins and minerals in a liquid form that is most easy to digest and put into action! This Hamilton Beach juicer has pumped out hundreds of juices for me over the past year. The key is to clean it out, especially the grate, right after use. That will prolong the life of your juicer drastically.

Phinex Diagnostic Ph Test Strips

You can easily test the pH of your saliva and urine with these strips. The best time to test is in the morning, when you are most acidic. You can then drink one liter of lemon/lime water and test again when you urinate. Sometimes, even that quickly, you will see a better result.

When bad, you can reassess and adjust, and you will be honest with yourself always this way. Practice leads to consistent empowerment which is why we will continue to take action.

I always remember to pat myself on the back now and get back to work.

I am done punishing myself. For many years, I became so swept up in my appearance, the pain, the symptoms and the “why me?” side of Psoriasis. Now, I’m in the game. It’s not “why me?” it’s simply “what do I need?“.

“Why me?” always made me feel stricken with this issue, always positioning myself as the victim, powerless. “What do I need?” put me in a power-position for the first time. Granted, it took me five years to make the necessary fundamental changes to push my paradigm shift, but now I’m here.

Am I still covered in P? Sure I am. Am I still afraid of it never ending until my life ends? Not anymore.

I am not punishing myself anymore for it. I am giving myself credit at every turn. I have tools in place to make up for mistakes. I have two beers, and four slices of pizza, I simply say “whoops I’ll make up for that with more alkaline fluids right now!“. Give yourself credit for the steps you are taking. Understand that since Psoriasis is so tied into our mind, bloodstream, organs and tissues that it will be constantly flaring, fluctuating and freaking. It will be most drastic as we are climbing the mountain of healing Psoriasis naturally.

I love my body and it needs me now, more than ever.

Doesn’t that just sound like a Warrior’s cry? My body needs me. It simply can’t defeat this beast without a lot of assistance from my Earth and environment. The Earth provides all that the body needs to heal. I must find it and eat it, that is my task. This will be healed from the inside-out, not the other way around.

I will use the Earth’s grace and improve the internal environment of my body. When our power and choices are given to an expert to make, our bodies and health are a product of his/her practice.

When we have our own practice in place, using natural items we can afford with great ease, we are the product of our own practice. Always seek the opinions of experts, but always seek education and make choices.

When I adopted this mindset, I found it much easier to love my body. Now, when I look in the mirror, I don’t think “this is awful, I can’t believe this happened TO me, I think “I’m on my way, keep pushing and I’ll get there“.

Practice. Persistence. Patience. Passion. Psoriasis…POWER

These are the ingredients for a Paradigm Shift of Lifestyle. That is what I am striving for, and slowly realizing, as my P slowly goes away, and my Power quickly comes about.

The Growing Pains of Cleansing My Psoriasis

About two weeks into the transition towards an Alkaline way of eating and living, I felt the die-off coming on. This was a period of time I expected, was happy when I felt it coming on, since it means that the toxins and pathogens in my tissues and blood were beginning to… well… die off (I explain this more in that post).

I loved this show as a kid & it rings true here.

This was the beginning of the phase that I am calling “the growing pains of healing Psoriasis”. Here are the top 5 issues I’m experiencing in order of chronological sequence and severity of pain (5 being the most):

1. General fatigue
2. Diarrhea & digestive pain
3. extra spots & rash
4. joint aches & pains
5. Swollen glands (lymph nodes)

These are the struggles you are soon to experience as you exorcise these demons from all body tissue. Your body is turning into the most over-worked waste management system and will remain on code red for the next 6 months, depending on how much waste removal and healing you have to accomplish. There will be traffic jams, accidents, stiffness, soreness, pain, frustration and you will be downright ornery as your body battles and removes liters of waste. Remember not only the toxin pathogens, but the waste of their death, all must go! It’s wholesale time!!

1. GENERAL FATIGUE: The first aspect that will set in is fatigue. This is natural, as your body will be rerouting energy to the digestive system’s healing process, the vital organs restructuring and reprogramming, along with all the logistics of both your lymphatic system and cardiovascular system. You will be tired, you’ll have random stretches of sleepiness throughout the day. After eating, you’ll want to rest upright for a while. The key here is to get plenty of rest. I mean TONS. I have been sleeping 8-9 hours per night, along with one 3-4 hour nap per week on a weekend day. When you are in REM sleep, your body can focus entirely on the waste distribution and removal process. Also, this premptive rest you are gaining now, will have you better prepared for the more arduous, painful phases to come as you enter the full alternative psoriasis treatment modes.

2. DIARRHEA & DIGESTIVE PAIN: I won’t get too deeply into this topic, as I think we all know the symptoms and i want to keep these posts PG-13 at most. As your digestive system starts to heal, the walls of your intestinal tract will be very sensitive and vulnerable. It is so important to lower your daily solid food intake at first in a healthy fashion during this time. So the evacuation organs can heal. The kidneys, liver, colon and all the miles of tract in between need help now more than ever. Help with the following quick tip for each organ respectively; lime/lemon in room temp water ALL the time, milk thistle in liquid form (25 drops into a cup of water and drink on empty stomach), Slippery elm tea, green juices (celery, cucumber, broccoli as base) and American Safflower tea for your intestines and colon cleansing. You should reach a consistent schedule of daily bowel movements and stay on the same pace. This is a strong sign of an improving, quality healing environment.

These are signs of waste removal!

3. EXTRA SMALL PSORIASIS SPOTS & RASH: New small spots will start to show up in groups and rash around your oldest, largest plaques. I notice the most on my extremities such as the lower leg and on my forearms. You can see my left arm here, for an example of these small batches of spots. Also, rash will break out around your lymph nodes, all signs of the body working hard to remove years of excess poison and toxins from the body tissues. As your skin has been doing with Psoriasis, helping the digestive system remove invader waste, it will now do with extra small spots, removing the invaders and their waste.

I imagine these small spots will start to vanish as my system aligns and comes back to it’s original natural balance of life’s processes. Try your hardest not to itch and scratch mindlessly, rather, rub and massage consciously  with your eyes closed while taking the deepest breathes you can, INHALLLLLLE… EXHALLLLLLLE. Over and over, focus on your breathing and center.

4. JOINT ACHES & PAINS: Your joints, especially those at the extremities, are a perfect hiding space for fleeing invaders. As your blood and tissue become more alkaline, and the pathogens are on the run, they will try to settle in your wrists, knees, elbows, anywhere they can hide out. This will result in a relative soreness, no severe pain, just stiffness and a general uneasiness. Find a good novice Yoga routine to do, to keep yourself stretched and limber. Do light aerobic exercises, such as brisk walking, or light swimming & water-treading. Stay generally active, hydrated, and rested to ease the joints and keep your cardio system moving at an even keel. Exercise and water are the best ways to keep achy joints from stopping you during the P healing time.

5. SWOLLEN NECK GLANDS (ENLARGED IRRITATED LYMPH NODES): I have been going through this for the past 4-5 days and I will tell you right now, it will be the hardest obstacle of the 5. About 2 days after thanksgiving, I woke up feeling as if I had slept wrong on my side and dislodged my neck somehow. I have done this before, and in about 48 hours, with ice, stabilizer and self-massage, it dissipates away. This was different. The pain was coming in waves, like a subwoofer, sometime shooting down my shoulders and into my arms. I believed I had a pinched nerve at first, but that pain is on a different schedule.

What I realized, after some self-education and research on the Lymphatic system and the hubs known as Lymph Nodes, that i was dealing with the pressure and pain of an excess of toxins being removed from the tissue and dumped into the blood by my white blood cells.

I believe, now that I am helping my immune system heal, it is responding by an aggressive waste management campaign, calling upon the lymphatic system to work over time, day & night, until we get to that healthy balance and alignment of digestion and evacuation.

This aggressive campaign is causing traffic jams in the major lymph hubs, located on the front and back of the neck, and back base of my skull. Target these areas with a deep self massage. Rub in a circular fashion until you find the knots, and then move those down and out through the shoulders with your thumbs and fingers. It’s best to move in a one-way direction towards the heart when you are massaging the lymph system. Help the waste trucks move in the proper direction. While you do this, take deep breathes, five seconds in, five seconds out, consistently, as you massage gently wit an oil or lotion. Do this massage 5 times a day, and use a cool pack or bag of ice, to rub down your lower head, neck and top of your shoulders.

My neck pain is finally starting to subside a bit, and I think this will continue to a certain extent throughout the major phases of the excess toxin and tissue waste dumping process.

I Am Confident That I Am Healing My Psoriasis Now

Everyone Loves a Happy Ending.

Now don’t worry, this horror story has a happy ending! I can tell you honestly at this moment, my Psoriasis symptoms have decreased by almost 50%.

How did I get to this percentage?
Well, yesterday, was the first day in five years, that I did not take a shower or use lotion! Usually, if i skip a day of my P-hygiene approach, I’m a krusty krab. BUT, yesterday was different. In conclusion, I deduce that my skin regenerates about 50% slower than it’s Psoriatic norm. Today, I feel great, my conviction and determination is strengthening each and every day. I know I’m on my way, and will stick to it as a good Warrior does.

My 72 hours green juice fast begins tomorrow and runs through to my birthday. No better way to bring in my 31st year than a full cleansing!! Wish me luck, I’ll have a full report of the ups and downs of juice fasting next week.

Psoriasis Diet Lifestyle Shift

To move in to a new mindset, one must have Transition & Routine methods firmly established. Stay Practical & Persistent when you approach this methodology. What I am saying is, define clearly your definition of the path necessary to transition a lifestyle Change via routine. Every day, you make a step in the right direction, every day, one less cup of coffee, every day, one less cigarette, every day one step closer to healing your Psoriasis or any Auto Immune (AI) disorder and beyond with your choices.

My personal set of Commandments to Transition a firm lifestyle & diet change, aka paradigm shift, in the mind (which controls everything else in this universe):

1. Break old habits
2. Pretend morning is night
3. Sugar feeds the invader
4. If it’s in the house, i’LL eat it
5. Oxygen is more important than water which is just as important so breath deeply and drink!
6. Lemon and/or Lime are your best friends, get used to the sour
7. Green is the new Red (Think of an avocado as a steak)
8. Get a lil sun
9. Stretch my muscles, or better yet, move em
10. take atleast 5 breaks from my work each day.

Now, remember, before you start to move towards these 10 steps, the first aspect you must accomplish, is being candidly honest with yourself. No one else, just yourself. Take into account your three E’s, Environment | Emotions | Eat before you start practicing these steps every day. This will help measure a time frame on Your own spectrum of health. If you are not brutally truthful with yourself, and moment aware at all times, you will struggle to make it on this path to Healing Psoriasis.

A Warrior’s Story is the Journey, his Honesty is the Map

1. BREAKING HABITS – The art of habit breaking, that is a tough one. We get so stuck in our ways and what we choose to throw in our mouths at record paces. We work hard, we play hard, we live life to the fullest, But, a Psoriatic must overcome a disorder that is in the way. An issue the Immune System needs the Warrior’s help with. In order to get by this huge roadblock in the path, we have to be smart, and proactive. So, I swear, that I will use this blog as my testament to myself  “Ode to Me” and whomever else happens upon it. It will be the Map that I draw, the day I started being completely honest with myself and helped my body heal Psoriasis. That time is now… This is the time. There is a saying that “habits are broken in about 2 weeks”. I say, they can be removed completely on an indefinite time schedule. Just methodically approach the transition.

2. PRETEND MORNING IS NIGHT – From Dawn till Dusk. This is a tough one, maybe the toughest. For me, I was raised eating delicious large meals later at night, from 8-9pm. I carried this conditioning into college and beyond, eating large late night meals, highly acidic in content of course. So, as I engage my T&R plan for healing my psoriasis, this is my main focus of practice. Like anything else in life, wether you were in athletics, dance, band, science club, chess club, PRACTICE was everything, it didn’t make perfect, but it was the potential grabber. It gets you there, where you want to be, with anything in your life. So slowly start moving dinner earlier, move lunch to a brunch. Snack on veggies throughout the day, always have hummus, guacamole, olive oil/apple cidar vinegar/herbamare dips ready. The most difficult aspect, is eating breakfast. I was not brought up eating a timely consistent breakfast, and never have in my life. So, I’m slowly adding something small to eat after my morning liquid routine.
